Catacombs Haunted House is located at 6143 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago Illinois. General Admission is $10, and the Fast Pass is $18. For more information, please visit http://www.scarypopcorn.com/index.html
The haunted house is located in St. Pascal’s Public School and Church, but only in their basement. There is free parking across the street. We walked into the school, and we saw a ton characters! I gagged just watching Peanut the Clown play with his bloody saliva. Then there was another clown, she was very playful and made cool animal balloons! There was also a drunk hanging around. He was stumbling around the line for a while and when people asked him what exactly he was drinking, his response was, “the GOOD stuff!”.
When we first walked in, we were greeted by Medusa who had a live snake on her. She advised us to wear underwear, and use the bathroom before hand due to someone having an accident earlier. She is also the Catacombs Rule Master and gave us the usual haunt rules before entering the basement (no running, no touching, ect.).
One room I really enjoyed was the clown room. They were really clever starting with a pitch black room and you think you are entering a maze, but suddenly the lights come on and you are surrounded. Clowns were jumping up and down everywhere like jumping beans! Just a warning, they will get really close to you and up in your face.
There was also a mirror maze, which I really enjoyed. I enjoyed it so much because I really had to feel around and figure out where to keep walking. When I walked in, it felt like one huge wall of mirrors, but instead it was a maze of mirrors. I liked having the challenge of that room. People jumped out at me, and they did a really good job using the dark and camouflaging themselves.
We also got stuck in a cage and couldn’t figure out how to get to the next room. If you want to know how we ended up getting out of the cage, you’ll just have to go check it out for yourself! I advise you to wear comfortable shoes, because you will be walking on a lot of uneven ground.

This is catacombs 40th year. They do an amazing job from line acting, to detail and to the whole crew that put in the hard work to make catacombs so special. It just shows why they are still around and still going strong. if you haven’t been to this haunt yet then you are missing out. We can not wait to see what they come up with next. here to 40 years of catacombs/ St. Pascal’s haunted house!!!!!
