When we first arrived, we had to wait in line before going into the haunt. We weren’t bored for even a second. We were constantly entertained by many, many talented actors/actresses. They had at least 5 or 6 line actors walking around entertaining people. Entering the haunt, they will put you in a cage with many other people ( think 10-20, this cage is MASSIVE) and make sure you follow the haunt rules, or you will deal with the consequences; possibly crawling around on your knees. They did that to the owner of HalloweenBlast, and it was hilarious! They had him facing the cage with his hands up, then had him crawling on the floor in circles. They did a great job separating us all out into small groups again so that you didn’t get stuck in a conga line going through the haunt.
After the fun of the cage, you were escorted into a room where you are shown a horrifying scene, and then the lights go off. We won’t tell you what happens, or what the scene is; we will just let you expense it for yourself. After that, into another room you go. You better be quick on your toes and be able to do some quick thinking, otherwise you might not make it to the next room alive. If you’re a person that doesn’t enjoy someone in your personal bubble, this isn’t the place for you. They really know how to get close and personal with you, which made the haunt extremely enjoyable for me.
I really felt like an ant in the haunt, they did that great of a job with their scenery. You didn’t just walk straight through the haunt, you had to get down and low. A little fashion advice for you, be sure you wear appropriate shoes; not every step will be level. If you don’t mind being a little squished, this is definitely a haunt for you. Balls are gonna be coming your way, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled or you maybe BURIED ALIVE! If you are claustrophobic, YOU MAY SIT THIE ROOM OUT! They will not force you to participate if you wish to opt out of this room.
There were a couple of rooms that I feel deserve an honorable mention. One was the caves, which had amazing scenery and detail was impeccable. Their actors also did a fantastic job in the asylum area. They were jumping all over the place, acting absolutely certifiable. They kept asking me if I had pills on me. Speaking of the actors, they all did an amazing job this year and we were blown away at how well they all were. Hats off to the Dungeon of Doom actors, and everyone who put their heart and soul into making this an incredible year. For tickets go to https://dungeonofdoom.com/
