Twisted Crypt review 2024

Last friday, Halloween Blast visited Twisted Crypt Haunted House in Rockford Illinois. The haunt is located at 5420 E State St, Rockford, IL 61108. Tickets are $20 general admission. Please visit https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/twistedcrypt/twisted-crypt-haunted-house# for fast passes and other prices.

Our first encounter we would like to talk about was meeting Mama outside the haunt working the line. She startled us when she snuck up on us while we were getting our tickets at the booth. Amanda struck up a conversation with her while we were waiting and she let them pet her somewhat gassy squirrels. We also have no idea where she pulled it out of, but she also let Amanda use her paddle and let her try to spank Karen with it!

Our wait in line wasn’t long and just inside you are put in a room and given some backstory on the haunt before you are given the rules. We met a demoness at the door who gave us a small baby as a “snack for later” before letting us in and the haunt began.

One of the rooms that stood out to us was the car room. There were two guys in there that were the doctors’ experiments. The guy with the hump and pustules all over was warning us not to stick around or we would end up like the other guy who seemed to be losing his mind. He grabbed him by a rope wrapped around his neck and flung him across the room into a chair and told him to stay put, where he proceeded to practically shred the leather and start ripping out the stuffing while the pustules guy was telling us to talk to the doctor about fixing him because he was broken. That was right around the time we moved on as he turned, saw the chair being destroyed and started BEATING them and screaming. Those two kept going even after we had left the room, we could still hear them.

We did eventually find the doctor. You are kinda locked in with them for a bit, so it’s hard to miss them. They were desperately searching for a new patient and made Karen get up on their exam table to test her reflexes and make her kick. They seemed angry that she was in good health and started jumping up and down on the table screaming for someone named Jack as the nurse asked us to leave.

We’re not gonna spoil the end for you, but you do eventually meet Jack. We had a great time following the story of the haunt and our interactions with the actors were top notch! The only thing we would change would be to make the haunt bigger so we could have more than the 20 minutes we had with them. The actors are the lifeblood of this haunt and I look forward to seeing them all again in the future!
