Halloween Blast visited Haunted Hills Haunted Attractions Merrillville Indiana, on September 28, 2024. Tickets prices are listed on their website at https://hauntedhillshauntedattractions.com/ . We strongly recommend you check their prices online because Haunted Hills offers alot of different packages that you might want to buy. You can not park at the attracaton. Parking for Haunted Hills is located at Deep Rivers Water park, which is located at 9001 E Lincoln Hwy, Crown Point, IN 46307. From there, a bus will pick you up and take you to the haunt. We recommend that you wear shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. You may walk through some mud depending on if it rained that day or the day before.

This year we visited on media night, so by the time this review comes out, the haunt may or may not be open yet depending on when you are reading this. Haunted Hills Haunted Attraction opens to the public on October 4, 2024, so if you are reading this after the 4th then yes, they are open. Since we were able to visit before it opened to the public, we are going to do this review a little differently. Haunted Hills Haunted Attraction has 3 haunts: The Fear Lab, Haunted Hills Hospital and the Sickbillys  Sideshow. When you arrive at Haunted Hills and you buy your ticket, you will have to use your phone to get into the queue, so make sure your phone is fully charged! Once time is up, they will send you a text or email letting you know it is time to enter that attraction. In the meantime, as you wait in the virtual queue you can check out their midway which has: food trucks, photo ops, small gift shops and a card reader. With that, I recommend you try it out for yourself. See if the predictions for you come true or not!

So now let’s go over the attractions. The first one we will talk about is Haunted Hills Hospital. We love this attraction and it is probably our favorite out of the three. If you have ever been to the old location of Haunted Hills Hosptal, then this is like a flashback but upgraded. The story for this attraction is you get locked up and admitted to the hopstial. Throughout the haunted house, you are going through different sections of the hospital like a trauma center, the dentist and so on. The hospital is doing alot of different tests on you, but the true question is, ‘Is there a way out?’.

Next on our list is Sickbillys Sideshow. This is a circus that went terribly wrong. You will come face to face with the most terrfiying clowns that you will ever meet. It is fun and very scary. Just as you think this is a fun circus, Sickbillys clowns will show you that you’re a part of your first act, and your last. 

Finally, let’s talk about the Fear Lab. The Fear Lab gets ALL your senses flowing! We were screaming in it. You will be wearing glasses so you cant see anything. They act like blindfolds. As you walk through the lab, they will do experiments to you that will make you scream. We can not tell you what they do to you, because it will ruin the fun of this haunt. It was only $5 to go through this attraction. We recommend trying the Fear Lab if you have never tried it before. 

We also did a card reading we are going to talk about because it was an amazing experience. Our interaction with the card reader was so cool! Her name is Dune. Dune will do a tarot reading for $10. If you have never had a tarot card reading done, we suggest you try it for the first time. It is up to you whether you want to believe what she says or not, but we believe her. She is very VERY accurate. Although she will caution you to not quit jobs, or do anything drastic when hearing her predictions. Dune has you pick 6 cards from a deck. They aren’t just your normal cards you see everyday. In this deck specifically, the cards had clocks, cups, swords, as well as pentacles on it. Karen’s prediction was about her making a choice in life and having potential opportunities for whatever she has been thinking about. She was very accurate, because last year she told her about a relationship/friendship that she had in her life that she had to either decide to give up or change a job. She did end up changing her job, not even thinking about what the cards predicted. In conclusion, Haunted Hills has made a lot of changes from last year. Last year, we felt Sickbilly SideShow wasn’t great, but this year they knocked it out of the park! The Fear Lab was another one that wasn’t great last year, and then this year it had us screaming because we were so freaked out by what they did. The acting in all three attractions were great. Remember, Haunted Hills Haunted Attraction opens October 4th, so if you visited last year, check them out again this year because they made a lot of improvements! Haunted Hills has plans for next year to expand the show. We just wait to see what they come up with next.
