Killdare Review 2024

Halloween Blast visited Killdare Haunted House this weekend. It took our team 20 minutes to walk through the entire haunt. Tickets are $30 and can be bought online and redeemed at the ticket counter in the Bridgeview Park District building on sight, or bought directly at the counter. We waited about 10 minutes but we went right at opening. Killdare is an outside haunt, so please check the weather and wear appropriate footwear. For more information please visit https://www.killdarehauntedcity.com/ .

Kildare has improved a ton since we last went. You need to see all the new changes! When we first walked into the haunt, “NOT Blade” greets you. NOT Blade shows you  a box and then tells you to push a button. Amanda was the lucky one to push the button, although she was a little nervous. Then, when it was time NOT Blade lets you in the door, and then he reads you the rules before sending you on your way into the haunt. NOT Blade made Karen go first. We walked through the forest. It was very quiet until all of a sudden creatures started to pop out and follow us. It made us very nervous because we didn’t know what was gonna come out and from where.

After the journey through the creepy forest, we came upon Killdare Haunted City. We didn’t know what to expect but one thing we really liked a lot was walking through the caboose, up some stairs. and then onto a catwalk! That was SO COOL! You were able to get a view of what you were about to walk into and you saw the haunted city. While walking on the catwalk, we saw and heard all the creatures screaming and hollering up at us and just got the creeps knowing this is what we’re going to walk into.

After walking down, you walked into a maze of walls. not knowing what to expect. One of the actors did a great job because he scared David by just standing there and not moving long enough. We all thought he was a prop. He made no noises til he let out a scream just as we were past him.

We came upon some girls after the clown room who were bouncing up and down and screaming telling us to put our pinky up for tea time. They asked us if we enjoyed the drink. Amanda said it was bitter, Karen said great and David said it was disgusting! Then one of the creatures leaned in to tell Amanda a secret. The secret was that she tinkled in Amanda’s tea and teased her that she liked it, but Amanda repeated that it was bitter and she kicked us out not wanting to play anymore.

The room that we will always love will be the demonic church. When you look down at the floor, they designed it to look like the floor is gonna split and you’re gonna fall straight into hell! It would be cool if they used a fog machine so when you look up, you see the demon just staring right at you!

All in all, Killdare has changed a ton this year. It is crazy to see that they basically have redone the whole haunt and rebuilt it from the ground up. We were just mind blown how much work they put into Killdare this year. We have to say great job to the whole Killdare crew with the new improvements this year. The haunt feels way longer than the previous years. If you haven’t checked out Killdare yet, we recommend that you do and if you visited last year, then go again this year because it is basically a new haunt. Can you make it through the Killdare Haunted City?
