Walking into Evil Intentions is always a surprise as we heard a loud bang sound from the parking lot. That made us jump because we definitely were not expecting that. Walking up to the ticket booth we bumped into our old friend Chuckles who is always willing to stop, have a chat and clown around with any and all he meets. After getting our tickets at the booth we ran into the priest standing outside. We asked for a picture with him and then the Halloween Blast owner thanked him and the priest responded with, “Go with god, and go to Hell.”. We knew right then and there we were in for a treat at Evil Intentions.
Inside as you wait in line you are surrounded by actors crawling up and down all over their cages. At one point, this homeless looking zombified man was standing above me, pretending to put his foot on my head, so I just slowly kept bending backwards until I was almost in half to avoid his shoes. When stepping on me didn’t work, he started picking on the owner and pulled his hat down over his eyes and pulled his mask up so it was touching the hat, effectively covering his whole face. Looks at him and says, “THAT’S how you properly cover your face!!!” and flounced off laughing maniacally. A significant detail in the entrance to the haunt was coffins. Just a fun fact of history for you, Did you know that Evil intentions is in an old coffin warehouse where they used to make coffins at!
So as you enter the haunt, you jump on the elevator to go upstairs but unfortunately the elevator breaks down. So the elevator operator tells you unfortunately you have to go upstairs the old fashion way, the stairs. One actor that caught my attention in the haunt itself was the dentist. He is sitting in a small room by himself with a small severed head, (to which we NEVER saw a matching body mind you!). The dentist even had a whole set of teeth and a pair of forceps in his other hand. The dentist turns to the owner and holds up the teeth telling us, “I forgot the novocaine” and starts laughing maniacally. Their sets and decor have gotten so detailed at this haunt, that at one point I thought I was about to walk through a door that was an emergency exit or an actor hallway. Although I still got scared by an actor that somehow dropped from the ceiling directly above me. I STILL don’t know how she was hiding up there!!! Another room we really enjoyed was a Satanic church. Between the lighting and design, this room was amazing. I just wish we could have spent more time in the room because it was incredible. Oh also there is a big tall surprise in that room, but we can not tell you because YOU HAVE TO experience it for yourself!
In conclusion, our walkthrough took about 20 minutes from the second we left the line to the minute we walked into the gift shop at the end. We had a blast interacting with characters along the way. Also when you enter the gift shop, Evil Intentions has provided a lot of photo opportunities. Evil intentions does a really great job at giving you that uneasy feeling. Whether it is the music, lighting, room design, or the costume, evil intentions keep it to the creepy/ disturbing vibe. I also want to point out that they did a great job keeping people spaced out inside the haunt. We only ever saw the group behind us one time and it was when we went through a room that shared a window to the room that we had been in two rooms prior. Considering all the extra work haunts are putting in to make things fun and safe for everyone, Evil Intentions did an incredible job and I recommend you visit and see what else they have in store for this season. for tickets go to https://eihaunt.com/
