So the last time we visited the Realm of Terror was in 2019. The reason why I say this is because I forgot that this is an 18 and over haunt. Meaning I wouldn’t advise you to take your kids to this haunt. Now with that being said, wow this is the most gory, twisted,in your face haunt. As you pick up your ticket it will have a number. They take groups in one at a time. So as you wait, you can grab drinks or play games in the waiting area. If you like photos, they have a ton of cool spots to take photos also. Our reviewer Karen loves taking photos, so she went photo crazy! This is cool because you don’t have to wait in a long line until your group number pops up on the screen.

So when our number was picked, we walked up to a beautiful creepy looking house which was very astounding to look at. They did such a great job with the lighting and design of this house. Like every haunt, we were given the house rules then asked who was ready to go first. One of our reviewers got excited and volunteered. They opened the door, then shut it behind her making her enter the haunt by herself.

Now these rooms and props are extremely bloody and grotesque. It is so disturbing. Realm of Terror brings horror to every single room. For example, there was a demonic baby bursting out of a woman’s rib cage. It’s sick and awesome that they go that far. Again this is an 18 and over haunt and they bring the gore in those rooms. We also got caught in a Conga Line. Yes, a Conga line that we all hate to be in, where you have a group behind you or in front of you. Now Conga lines can ruin the experience at a haunt because an actor will pop out then that’s it. That did not happen at Realm of Terror. These actors keep going, entertaining everyone in that Conga line. Some would even pop out, disappear then pop out again to make sure they got people in the front and back. This was great and it was multiple actors working the Congo line. Hats off to all those actors at Realm of Terror. Great job.

Since we are talking about the actors, these guys are not afraid to get in your face. Oh in case you were wondering, yes they are all wearing masks or mouth shields to protect both the customers and actors from covid. Now, there are some rooms that are built for you to have no place to run from the monsters inside the haunt. They have narrow hallways that will have the monsters in your face with only a wall with a small window separating the two of you.

We also must talk about the dark room. When we visited back in 2019, we did not like the dark room at all. Well they fixed it and it is scary as hell now!!! As you walk through the darkness, you feel stuff touch your leg. I don’t know if it is a monster or a prop. We will let you find out for yourself and of course you may not be alone in the dark. As you get closer to the end of the maze, they fill it up with fog to brighten it a little. Oh you still can’t see well, so don’t think you’re any better off trying to find your way out. There are so many surprises in the maze that we don’t want to spoil it for you. Realm of Terror did a great job making the dark maze alot better to the point that we love it now.

Realm of Terror is a gory and over the top haunt that pushes the limits. If you are a horror fan, this haunt is for you. This is not for the faint of heart. Realm of Terror will make you feel uneasy, from the acting to the gory set design, Realm of Terror doesn’t hold back. So can you survive the horror of the Realm of Terror? There is only one way to find out!!!
