Soul Reapers Review 2021

Halloween Blast checked out Soul Reaper. Soul Reapers is located at 30820 111th St. Wilmot, WI. 53192. General Admission Tickets are $18, VIP Fast Pass is $25.

This haunt is a very interactive haunt! You will still get scared in an interactive haunt! So if you like them, you will for sure love this one!!!  (Side note we have a reviewer named Karen)

Before walking into the haunt, we were greeted by line actors/actresses. One of them that caught our attention was a clown carrying a big clown mallet. He went up to Karen to sniff her and said that he smelled something good. Karen responds with “I probably smell like shrimp fried rice!!”. The actor said, “I can fry something up…” then opened his hand and a big fireball shot out!!! She was so amazed by it! Then later while we were waiting in line, he came over and started to pump up his balloon. He hit the Soul Reapers owner with it. The owner jokingly said, “Hey take your balloon somewhere else”.  The clown replied back and said, “sorry…I just had to poke you with it!!”. We also saw a scary creature with a brown hoodie, red eyes and long claws. This guy looks awesome. Karen took a picture of him, then he yelled at her, “Hey!!! Are you trying to blind me?”. Also, Soul Reapers has a tall werewolf that looks awesome. The werewolf and the red eye creature were terrifying because they will stare at you as you walk around Soul Reaper. This gives off a strong creepy feeling being watched by these two. Then when you are not paying attention, they will sneak up behind you.

Entering the haunt, we walked through a pitch black hallway to end up in a small dining room where we were greeted by an angry lady who was wondering why we were in her kitchen. Karen decided to tell her we are looking for a manager and she replied, “ This is not a business, this is a house!!! Can’t you see?!” She then told us to get out. So we did as she said and left the room. The next room we walked into was a kitchen with a bunch of plates filled with intestines. I saw a girl sitting at the table eating them. All of the sudden she looked up at us, and it was the same girl who told us to get out of the last room. We still don’t know how she got to the kitchen so fast.

We went into a hospital and were greeted by a nurse. She asked for Karen’s name and she said, “Oh boy!!! We got a Karen in here!!!” We laughed pretty hard. We saw bodies laying around, but one of them was not a prop. It was a patient who had his intestines sticking out and I just thought they did an amazing job of it. The patient then got out of the bed. We were so thrown off thinking he was fake!! He did a wonderful job of confusing us. Afterwards, we walked into a barn and the barn had patients who had escaped from what reminded me of a jail or some type of cage. One of them was above us running on the walls and gates.

Another room we walked into was a bar, and in the bar room I got asked to grab a pool stick and hit the ball. Here’s the catch: the ball was in the mouth of a prop that was laying on the table. I could not figure out how to hit the ball, so she goes over and says, “you could have just picked the ball up with your hand”. I was so dumbfounded that i didn’t think of that. While Karen was busy, David was being told to throw his hands on the wall and get on his knees and follow all types of directions being thrown at him. Then, when they were ready to kick Karen & David out, they made Karen pick him up and say let’s go. They did a great job of separating us and giving us different experiences in the haunt.  As David walked through the gates by himself, he turned the corner and was scared  by an actor just standing there…he couldn’t believe that got him of all things. The actor asked him why he got scared. Of course David said, “I don’t know why…”. It was hilarious to watch the actor keep asking David over and over “why did you get scared?”  Since Karen didn’t get scared, she was “the boss” and he happily agreed. The last part of the haunt was like we were in a dungeon. We met Slice & Soul Keeper. Slice was trying to slice me in pieces and the scary part was he had a chainsaw that I was standing right next to. Then, Slice chased us out with it.

This haunt is in a barn, so it is a little cold! Be sure to dress warm, and they do sell Hot Chocolate and Spiced Apple Cider which was delicious! In the end, this haunt has a lot of love. This is a very old school haunt that has no animatronics. Every year the Soul Reapers crew tears down and rebuilds this haunt. The room design they have is beautifully done in the time they have to build. One room that was beautiful was the hallway that had pictures all over the walls. If you look closer, you see all the Soul Reapers crew in those pictures. We loved that touch. It just shows you how close everyone is at the haunt. Remember that this is an interactive haunt and you just don’t walk through, you are a part of the show. There are not that many haunts like this anymore, so to see this is truly amazing. Between the owners and actors this haunt has a lot of heart. So check it out for yourself, you’ll see what we mean.
