So a bit of history for The Nightmare. It has been open for 7 years and it’s a home haunt !!! Everytime we go, the show gets better and better every year. As we arrived at The Nightmare, we were approached by Skittles…who gave us skittles!!! Then a  vampire walked out, so of COURSE we had to get a picture!! Maybe that wasn’t a good idea, because he tried to drink the owner’s blood. We even had Chainy the Chainsaw trying to cut us open!!! Oh, were we in for a wild night!! As we entered the haunt, we saw a body on the table with his chest torn open. We were approached by a vampire (the one that tried to suck David’s blood) who asked if we wanted pills, intestines or drugs. Karen replied, “I want chicken nuggets!” The vampire replied,  “We have chicken nuggets in the forest. Go on and get all your fresh nuggets”.  As we walked through the forest, we met a story teller. He told us a story about victims who entered the forest and never made it back out! There’s more, but YOU have to go see it for yourself! I don’t want to spoil the surprise. I did want to say that these guys did a really great job acting! I forgot I was in a home haunt! They even had animatronics and compressed air guns. They didn’t have compressed air guns a few years ago, so they have added a ton of new things. I loved how much detail they added and even made the haunt longer. It was crazy to think that this haunt is just in a garage. I thought it was going to like those old school home haunts with bed sheets hanging, but no…it is actually a really big haunt! Michael, the creator and mastermind behind The Nightmare, did such a wonderful job. Him and The Nightmare crew put so much work into detailing the haunt, it is mind blowing!! It feels wrong to even call it a home haunt  because as you walk through it, it doesn’t feel like a home haunt at all. Plus, the actors…where did Michael find them??? They are so amazing!!  They really get into their characters and put on amazing performances. You can tell this haunt is full of love and hard work from everyone who made this possible. This is how pro haunts start. If you have never checked out The Nightmare and you’re a Haunted House fan, then YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT THE NIGHTMARE.  Trust me you, don’t want to miss out!!
