Twisted Crypt Review 2021

It’s been a long time since we’ve been to Twisted Crypt and a lot has changed. The last time we visited was in 2018 and they have completely changed the waiting area to get into the haunt since then. We walked into a room surrounded by dolls everywhere!!! Now these dolls are really creepy, like they look like they are real and could come to life almost. This is a reminder, WE ARE NOT IN THE HAUNT YET and the doll room was already creeping us out. Twisted Crypt gives you that uneasy feeling RIGHT away. 

So Twisted Crypt is an interactive haunted house. What is an interactive haunt? It is where a haunt makes you a part of the show. Instead of walking through the rooms, you may be kept in the room and have to interact with the monsters in that room to leave. For example, they made one of our crew members get on her knees because she forgot to say “HI!”. So if you don’t want to backtrack, be sure you use those manners that your momma taught you! Also they can sniff out your fears. If you’re scared, be prepared!!! Another example is the very first room we entered. A lady will ask you what you want for dinner, and will make you pick out one of your group members to sacrifice for your next meal. The storytelling is very well done at Twisted Crypt. After you eat your meal, the lady says “you don’t look good…see the doctor” and sure enough the doctor is waiting for you. Again, they do a very great job of story telling by having you be a part of it and basically go on a horror journey throughout the haunt. We love all of the actors’ makeup and the costumes are incredible. In case you were wondering, all actors are wearing masks over their mouths for covid safety. The rooms are very decorated and detailed. Also, make sure to wear your mask, they do get close!!! Did you enjoy what you read? Well then be sure you check out Twisted Crypt!
